► Public holidays no good for economy

We have more public holidays than most countries which is bad for the economy (which is already in a very bad state).

When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, they made the Monday a public holiday, which is stupid. Now, some want to add another public holiday: Ancestors’ Day. When will the people learn that this is not good for the economy?

Years ago, they removed Ascension Day, a very religious holiday for Christians, which was wrong. And I am not a Christian. Time to reassess all public holidays and reduce them by at least four. Gina B
