GALLANTS GET NOD TO SIGN NEW PLAYERS

Marumo Gallants will be able to sign new players from 1 July after a three-year transfer ban imposed by FIFA was lifted. Gallants had been banned from making signings after a dispute over monies owed to Venezuelan forward Gustavo Paez, stemming from before the current owners of the Limpopo side took charge of the team. Paez had signed with TTM, as the team was known then, at the start of the 2020/21 season, but was quickly released and his contract not honoured. He took the matter to FIFA, who found in his favour and imposed the ban on Gallants, despite the fact that Abram Sello had bought the club and the matter pre-dated that sale.
