Go after the big fish, not small fry

It is remarkable that when you have not paid your rates and taxes bill on due date, the following day we get a final notice, telling us the date of disconnection.

Yet, we do not get statements for a few months. Try and phone the municipality; no answer. Try getting it online; they’re offline.

Our street lights are on day and night. What a waste. Who pays for that electricity? The taxpayer – yet they have the cheek to increase the tariffs. Whoever stole the taxpayers’ money, please return it. We are falling into a ruthless, cowardly, dishonest, bankrupt and corruption period.

Why has nobody been arrested? Yet the small fry are targeted. CB
