Johannesburg radio station Mix93.8FM welcomed its new weekend breakfast team last week. The Breakfast Run is broadcast between 7am and 10am every Saturday and Sunday.

The Breakfast Run is hosted by Nkuli Daniso and Mosa Kaiser and on their debut the pair received a warm welcome from Mix93.8FM listeners.

The music remains true to the station’s winning format and the show includes a soupcon of banter, curiosities and loads of laughter.

The on-air twosome said that as listeners guide them, the show will remain fresh and evolve along with its audience.

Kaiser is an accomplished actor and had been nominated for her work in broadcasting, both on radio and television. Kaiser is also the host and MC for TEDX for the universities of Johannesburg and Unisa with a BA Hons on her own resume.

Show partner Daniso said he is “looking forward to a rewarding experience” where he can grow into a new show.

Daniso started his radio career as a teenager. He was fourteen when he first shuffled in behind a microphone in Klerksdorp. Later, he joined Wits Campus Radio as weekend breakfast show host. His passion for his craft is infectious and he has also flirted with television, hosting a number of youth-oriented productions, including the hugely popular Geleza Nathi on SABC 1 and Mindset TV.

Station programme manager Sanele Mlotana said “Mix93.8FM is different in format, it is not over produced and heavily playlisted, hosting a show on the station can be taxing.

“It takes a special kind of presenter to appeal to our audience and build relationships on-air, and Mosa and Daniso have what it takes. We welcome them with open arms.”
