Covid test is nothing by cash cow

How is it that a PCR test at a ridiculous R500 can be positive today and negative tomorrow?

An overseas visitor and her son took a PCR test at Lancet laboratories 48 hours before flying home. She correctly predicted a positive result. She was compelled to redo the test at a further R500. Result? Negative this time.

The PCR test is not foolproof but a cash cow.
