-

→ Highlights include great getaways and Parlotones memorabilia.

StreetSmart SA has partnered with online auction site With Heart to raise funds to help the country’s most vulnerable children, many of whom live on the streets.

Bidding on the withheart.co.za auction platform takes place from Wednesday to Thursday, 2 June.

All the proceeds go towards accredited organisations working towards normalising the lives of children in need through education, skills training and family reunification programmes.

The auction lots due to go under the hammer include sought-after items and experiences to spoil yourself or a loved one.

With Father’s Day coming up on 19 June, you may just find the perfect gift for your dad.

All the auction items have been donated generously by friends of StreetSmart SA.

Auction highlights include accommodation at Belmond Mount Nelson, Wild Olive House at Bartholomeus Klip, Grand Dedale Country House and Knysna Hollow Country Estate, a Botlierskop Game Drive, a case of Villiera The Clan superior reds, a Parlotones memorabilia item, a Food Jams culinary experience and many more.

StreetSmart primarily raises funds through partners in the hospitality industry who add a voluntary donation to their patrons’ bills.

The money goes towards social and educational upliftment projects for street children in the areas where the donations are made.

The organisation was set up more than 15 years ago under the patronage of the late Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu by a group of concerned Capetonians representing business and the hospitality and tourism industries. – Citizen reporter
