ark Village Auctions (PVA) is inviting offers for the Rand Water Zwartkoppies building, plant and equipment as one lot. A spokesperson from the auction house, Werner Burger, says the sale represents an unprecedented opportunity, as the demand for steel tubes and pipes continues to grow.

Burger said: “Seamless steel pipes are indispensable for industrial sectors like oil and gas, mining, construction and manufacturing. As factmr. com says, the global steel tube market is poised for a 2.1% CAGR [compound annual growth rate] between 2022 and 2032.”

Machinery and equipment include, among others, redundant industrial pipe rollers, overhead cranes, welders, vertical bandsaws and baking and cooling bays.

Under the banner of “building”, demolishing the workshop, roof, steel structure, electrical cables, brickworks and x-ray structure are listed.

Steel pipes and scrap metal make up the material components to be included in the sale.

Viewing of the assets will be held from 9am to noon on Thursday next week.

Offers must be submitted to PVA in writing no later than 2pm next Thursday, subject to the terms and conditions available on the auction house’s website.
