Nkandla – a saga that will live on

-

The Nkandla saga won’t go away, with fresh revelations these past few days of the expenditure of R120 million on homes for use by Zuma’s protection unit.

What is more, the housing cluster is over a kilometre from his compound.

With the cost of R6 million each, these properties would not be out of place in Clifton with a sea view.

The exposure of this extravagance was as a result of Nhleko’s trying, with hyperbole, to justify the overall cost of this corrupt matter.

He now appears to be at loggerheads with Gwede Mantashe, for having been so incompetent as to let the cat out of the bag.

Anywhere else in the world, simple barrack rooms would’ve been built on the main property, and what is more, at a spend of a few thousands of rands. Shame on you, President Zuma. Where is your concern for the poor, the ignorant, the sick and the homeless?

No wonder you have sleepless nights.
