UPGRADES: ADOPTION OF THE NEW ‘CORPORATE FACE’ ʂ Toyota adds new Eco indicator to the model for better fuel economy.

The Toyota Avanza has forged a solid reputation for itself – a reputation built on the dependabil­ity, versatilit­y and user-friendline­ss of the compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV).

The exterior design of the new Avanza receives a substantia­l makeover, thanks to the adoption of the new Toyota ‘corporate face’. At the front, a large radiator grille forms the main focal point, framed by a bold colour-coded ‘brow’, which also plays host to the Toyota insignia.

Moving to the rear, revised rear tail-lights and an enlarged rear door garnish compliment the refreshed image.

On the inside, new interior decor welcomes passengers, exuding an elevated sense of quality. A classic monotone black interior colour scheme formsrms the base of the new interior,or,creable creating a comfortabl­e and welcoming at-atmosphere.

Modernised interior panel trim and trendy accent panels are offset against the durable - seat fabric withth stylised inserts.

The driver is treatedeat­ed to a new instrument­ment clusly cluster, adopting striking amber hued inserts, a silver outer bezel and white night-time illuminati­on for greater visibility and user-friendline­ss. All models receive a new Eco indicator to provide feedback to the driver on economical driving – contributi­ng to even better fuel economy.

A new, split third row seat allows passengers to independen­tlyindepen­dently adjust the back row seating, affordinor­ding the user the freedfreed­om of multiple coconfigur­ations. In aaddition, the third rrow seats also feature a tumble function to cconvenien­tly increase cincrease cargo space wwhen so required.

Contributi­ng to an increased level of safety, the second seating row has been fitted with a centre headrest which uses a smart split design, allowing the seats to fold down individual­ly. ISOFIX restraint points are featured, which are further compliment­ed by a seatbelt warning system for driver and front passenger, as well as driver and passenger airbags – all standard throughout the range.

An anti-theft system with alarm and immobilise­r completes the safety specificat­ion.
