ANC’s feeble response laughable

-

How laughable the ANC’s feeble response was last week when Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, pictured, rendered judgment on the secret ballot when, in actual fact, he schooled the speaker of the National Assembly on how to do her job.

The obsequious minions of the ruling party are the only ones who nod in agreement at this lacklustre response to the judgment as the country laughs at this level of folly.

The opposition will laugh as well come 2019, when a weakened ANC contests the general election. The ANC loses credibility with each court case it loses. Its great fall will, one day, be the stuff of movies.

The old man from Nkandla said in parliament on Thursday that we must not worry. Perhaps we should take his advice.

We should not worry when more and more people depend on social grants. We should not worry when the coffers of the state run empty, compliments of the technical recession.

Who knows? Maybe Mr Zuma will take his own advice when Tunisia Day: SA Edition hits South Africa shortly before or shortly after 2020, as analyst Moeletsi Mbeki has forewarned.

Just saying.
