Knievel Museum opens in Kansas

- Topeka

– Step through the doors of the Evel Knievel Museum in Kansas and you come face to face with a bright red, 63-foot semitruck.

It was the home of the American stunt man when he was on tour in the 1960s and ’70s.

His daredevil spirit made him an American folk hero.

But until now, there has been no museum dedicated to his career.

“He was a cultural leader,” said Mike Patterson, founder of The Evel Knievel Museum, which officially opened yesterday in the Kansas capital of Topeka.– AFP
