Trade surplus grows in May

South Africa’s trade surplus grew to R9.49 billion in May following a revised R4.97 billion surplus in April, data from the revenue agency showed.

Exports rose 15.4% to R105 billion on a month-on-month basis in May, while imports were up 11% to R95.5 billion, the South African Revenue Service said in a statement. –
