Baxter’s ‘favourites’

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter (right) has been accused of trying to protect certain players in the wake of a partying scandal which led to a heated exchange in Durban earlier this month. reported two weeks ago that an argument ensued after some players organised a party in their hotel room and allegedly invited women. A source said Baxter was handling the matter the wrong way. “It is clear he is trying to protect certain individuals but this could lead to accusations of favouritism. If he was to deal with it he should not try to protect the culprits but make an example of them,” said the source.
