Academy to Europe

KwaZulu-Natal Academy players will finally get a chance to showcase their skills against top teams after the disappointment of the demise of the Durban Under-19 tournament. The event was meant to take place in July but was cancelled after the province refused to sponsor the event and allegedly demanded that eight Premier Soccer League teams be included. The team will tour Spain and Portugal next month where they will face Atletico Madrid’s Under-19s and Vitoria Guimaraes and Sporting Lisbon’s junior teams.
