Painting in celebration of Brad

-

South African motorsport world champions are few and far between these days.

Thus, Brad Binder’s 2016 Moto3 title win was a great historic moment for local adrenalin game enthusiasts, to be savoured for many years to come.

They can now purchase a permanent reminder of the Bradical season, in the form of an awesome painting by veteran motorsport artist Michael Rogers.

Rogers, who has produced many briliant motorsport paintings over the years, says he took particular pleasure in this effort.

“To have a South African winning motorcycle Grands Prix was fantastic, and I did reseach about painting Binder during 2016.

“Of course, when he clinched the Moto3 title, I simply had to do it – a South African world champion just had to be painted by a South African artist,” Rogers says.

He obtained permision from Binder’s manager Bob Moore and Red Bull South Africa supplied him with suitable images to work from.

The result is a stunning portrait of Binder in action and in person – look at the reproduction pictured above and you are bound to want it.

The work is sized 436mm X 594mm and 250 full-sized prints on 250gsm paper with matt UV varnish finish will be available directly from the artist.

At R595 each, the prints will all be signed and numbered by Rogers, with a certificate of authenticity.

Images of the painting can be studied on Instagram, Michael_ rogers_art or Facebook, michaelrogersart.
