Coach Eric has the world on his shoulders

“It never rains, but it pours” seems to be the most accurate way to describe SuperSport United’s current form as their winless streak has been stretched to eight league games following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Clinton Larsen’s Golden Arrows.

Matsatsantsa A Pitori are struggling to rediscover the form that saw them reach the Caf Confederation Cup final almost two months ago.

As frustrated as Eric Tinkler (left) is for failing to finding the winning formula, injuries are adding to his list of concerns as he expects to be without striker Bradley Grobler for some time.

The elephant in the room – Jeremy Brockie – didn’t travel with the team to KwaZulu-Natal as he was expected to be unveiled as a Mamelodi Sundowns player soon (which he was). Tinkler says he will not go into the market just for the sake of it.

“We are not going to rush into the market and sign willy-nilly. We have to make sure that whoever we bring in is going to bring added value. Bradley is going to be out for a while ... if we are lucky he could be back by the end of April,” said Tinkler.

The capital city side will be camping in KwaZulu-Natal as they have three back-to-back matches in the province.

They have already dropped points to Arrows, and Tinkler will be hoping for a better performance against high-flying Maritzburg United tomorrow night at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
