Football fans worldwide are waiting in anticipati­on for Thursday, when the 2018 Fifa World Cup officially kicks off in Russia. The tournament, which runs until July 15, will see 32 national teams go head-to-head against one another for the ultimate trophy.

Twenty of the teams will be making back-to-back appearance­s, following the last tournament in 2014, including the defending champions Germany, while Iceland and Panama will both be making their debut appearance­s.
