This kept the gap to Barcelona at seven points.

Manager Diego Simeone will be keener than ever to get his team to the final this season, with the final set to be played at Atletico’s home stadium in June.

Juve will be focusing on this competition.

They are 13 points ahead of their nearest challengers in the Serie A title race and with Champions League specialist Cristiano Ronaldo on their books, they will feel their chances of lifting the most prestigious trophy in club football have increased.

I’m predicting Atletico edging Juve.
