Please don’t ignore world news like Auschwitz

The Citizen (KZN) - - Letters -

The Citizen has let us down by not including this in the paper, writes Gina Bergman

Iam shocked that your newspaper did not even write a small paragraph regarding the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Russian army.

All the TV stations in South Africa and around the world had stories regarding the above. Many kings, princes, and heads of governments came to Israel to be at the event and go to the Holocaust museum to see what actually happened during World War II where millions perished.

Among those who perished, were Jews, gypsies, gay people and Catholics.

Why has your paper ignored the fact that over 1.6 million people in Auschwitz alone were exterminated? This is world news and you have let us down.

The Auschwitz memorial ceremony was extensively covered yesterday. – Editor
