2020 ESPORT LEAGUES: NEW TELKOM VS GAMING CHAMPIONSHIPS STARTS

The finals for both CS:GO and Dota2 for the coveted Masters titles of the Esport championships were battled out at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. Energy Esports walked off with the title for Counterstrike while Goliath Gaming claimed their title accolade for Dota2.
The Telkom VS Gaming championships were concluded in Rivonia and the game title champions were as follows:
CS: GO Championship – B5| Big 5

League of Legends Championship – RYL Royalty Esports
Rocket League Championship – xD.Rocket League
Overwatch Championship – GG.Goliath Gaming
COD:BO4 (PS4) Championship – bvd - Bravado Gaming

The ever popular and rapidly growing High School Esports League (HSEL) saw first places being awarded to Paul Roos Gymnasium for CS:GO, Grantleigh High School for League of Legends and Grey High School for Dota2.
All HSEL finals also took place at the Telkom VS Gaming Esports High Performance Centre in Rivonia.
The commitment, long hours and hard work over the 2019 season paid off for all the winners and gamers are looking forward to another thrilling and competitive season as newcomers and loyal gamers alike continue to challenge the top teams for the titles and lucrative prize monies on offer from Telkom VS Gaming.
The championship will specifically focus on less game titles to provide the community of gamers with a higher level of quality and service.
Registrations for the 2020 leagues closes on 16 February.
Those who missed the first round of registrations are welcome to enter the second round between 23 March and 5 Apri.
“The activities this year will be split into three micro-seasons, known as legs,” says Wanda Mkhize, executive content and VS Gaming. “These legs take place online between March and August, with a short registration period held before each leg begins.”
The top qualifying teams will compete at a final in August.

Game titles that did not make the list will be supported throughout the year with shortform cups. “We will continuously review the number of entries into these cups and host additional cups for popular game titles,” says Mkhize.
The successful HSEL is also back for its third season this year. Telkom VS Gaming have been working closely with the HSEL board to ensure the dates do not clash with exams.
The school teams will compete over the course of two legs.
Counter-Strike Global Offensive
League of Legends Telkom VS Gaming has also announced the launch of a mobile league platform, named Telkom Plus. This platform is available exclusively to Telkom customers. Gamers stand a chance to win some epic prizes.
