One World moves into top spot with Do It Again

-

One World has moved into joint top position as South Africa’s highest rated horse following his extremely gallant victory in the Sun Met on Saturday.

The National Horseracing Authority (NHA)’s Handicapping Team raised One World from 130 to 135 and Do It Again – who finished ninth in the Met – was dropped one point to make him no higher than One World.

The two horses are now South Africa’s top-rated horses, on a domestic rating of 135, one point ahead of Rainbow Bridge and Vardy – sixth in the Met – on 134 points.

The Handicappers were unanimous in their view that the everconsistent runner-up Rainbow Bridge was the correct line horse to use in assessing the race, and as such his rating remains unchanged on 134.
