Follow ‘King Vlad’ for the Jackpot

The Citizen (KZN) - - Racing Express - Larry Foley Singapore

– On Thursday night Vlad Duric was crowned Champion Singapore Jockey for the third straight year.

On Sunday, he can again show why he is the undisputed ‘King of Kranji’ with a strong book of rides and may just bring punters home with the last four winners.

Race 7 is the first leg of the Jackpot and Lim’s Pride looks one of the better bets on the card.

That was his first run in the bottom grade and from gate 2 you would think he will be hard to pass late over 1400m.

Top Knight is the obvious pick in the feature race, the RDA Cup, - and while Vlad wouldn’t want to give the likes of Aramaaayo too much of start, he should be hard to hold out.

In Race 8 it is another recent Class-dropper in Runminderbinderrun who gets the Duric treatment and should really win.

Duric is on newcomer Churchill in the lucky race, but given the form from Australia and a nice local trial under his belt, can win and hopefully cap off a big night for Vlad and his faithful band of followers.

Best Bets: Lim’s Pride, Race 7, Win; Runminderbinderrun Race 9, Win and Fulife King Race 6, value.

Jackpot: Race 7: 4; Race 8: 1 and 7; Race 9: 2, 4, 6 and 7 and Race 10: 1 and 2.
