Enjoy The View’s a Force to be reckoned with

The Citizen (KZN) - - Racing Express - Bonginkosi Nkosi

Michael Roberts-trained Enjoy The View’s form clearly proves he is most lethal at Hollywoodbets Scottsville racecourse – especially over 1200m – having recorded an impressive two victories from three outings.

Roberts has never made secret of the fact he believes this three-year-old son of Capetown Noir is a good horse and to his credit, he has been spot-on thus far.

Enjoy The View finished a disappointing 14th in the Ready To Run Cup in his penultimate offering, but the veterinarian confirmed he was fatigued.

This gelding was given a three-month break and the time off seems to have done him the world of good because he showed absolutely no signs of ring-rust in his follow-up, outclassing Made In Hollywood to win by an extending two lengths.

That was a win full of merit if you consider the fact he also gave the runnerup 2.5kg.

Enjoy The View should improve more than the margin he won by now that he has had a run under the belt.

On this evidence, he should win Race 4, a Pinnacle Stakes race over 1200m at Scottsville on Sunday.

“I have worked him for the last two months and he has just blossomed over the last few weeks,” said jockey Serino Moodley – who retains the ride.

“The work this horse puts up at home is unbelievable and his form is simply brilliant at this course.”

His logical danger Drunken Sailor.

Although this Yogas Govender-trained son of Irish Flame is as consistent he is hard to recommend for the victory because he always finds something to beat him.

In fact, he has registered two seconds and three thirds from five attempts at this venue.

Underrated jockey Marco van Rensburg’s consistency is starting to pay off and he has worked his way up to the No 9 spot on the national jockeys’ championship log.

He should add another winner to his tally when teamed up with the Stuart Pettigrew-trained Seattle Force in Race 7, the UmThombothi Stakes (NonBlack Type) over 1950m.
