So the president ticked again all the right boxes from his wish-to-do list, like he did last year and the year before. But he was supposed to have let us know what he has achieved all this time, which is nothing. So I’m not holding my breath about all his talk and his wishes.

Jean Michel, Bryanston

Ramaphosa says the government cannot fix this country on its own. Well, the taxpayers are contributing every rand that they can but your ministers are stealing as much as they can. Ramaphosa, you also said that you were going to clean up on corruption. Since you took office none of your corrupt criminal ministers have been brought to book. Stop passing wind. When you speak, speak honestly and put the individuals in jail.

The EFF are most probably one of the reasons that holds South Africa back. Infantile to say the least and totally destructive with their ideas. The pathetic diatribe from Malema was actually quite embarrassing. Well done to the speaker, you handled it well. Just carry on and let the Red Berets carry on shooting themselves in the foot. They are good at that.

Geoff

I can’t imagine voting for the EFF and they are involved in running our country. A bunch of hooligans and at the end of the month they get paid by us, the taxpayers. These people are all clowns.

Thokozani Sibiya, Katlehong

The State of the Nation address has been turned into a childish circus by the EFF. In future, Sona should be broadcast to the nation from the presidential home or office. Then there are not likely to be any interruptions.

Jenny Sterne

The EFF once again disrupt parliament! Why did the speaker not call in the “white shirts” to remove the EFF rabble? The ANC are pathetic!

Nicky Oelofse

The State of the Nation is clear – run by unruly children and shoplifters, while the last to leave does not need to turn off the lights because an ANC-run Eskom already has.

Mike, Midrand

Imagine if the EFF ran this country right now. What would happen to investors, law and order? It would be a one party state. The rand will hit R30.
