Sheet-metal machinery going in 3-2-1

-

Bidders will have one week to contend for sheet-metal fabrication equipment in a timed online auction as Park Village Auctions (PVA) makes available the contents of a company.

PVA’s Werner Burger says that the auction represents an ideal opportunity for sheet-metal contractors to acquire otherwise costly capital equipment at favourable rates.

“Manufacturers that want to scale their business are often unable to because the outlay for the equipment that would enable their capacity is too great,” he explains.

“The nature of a timed auction allows ample time for considered bids and counteroffers. The full inventory list is published beforehand, so bidders can begin their research well in advance, too.

“That way, they can attain their desired assets at fair prices without the risk over extending themselves.”

Specialised machinery includes an Amada Coma Turret 577 50-ton punch press machine including a dryer, table and computer, an Amada CSW250 corner notcher, an Amada RG08 (NC9) 90-ton press brake, an Amada RG355 35-ton press brake and a Carolina industrial CH-150 hoist.

A Supertech surface grinder including workbench, an Amada surface grinder, an Excel air compressor, an Economig 250-Ultra arc welding machine, a Transarc 250 Afrox welding machine, steel multi-tier shelving, metal shelves, metal tables, metal lockers, welding screens, welding tables and a tool cabinet are also on offer.

Assorted office furniture and equipment, including computers, storage, desks and chairs, will also be sold.

The items will be available for viewing at 126 Struben Road, Alrode South, Gauteng from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday, 6 October.

The timed auction will commence from 10am on Wednesday, 7 October until 10am on Wednesday, 14 October.
