Over 1 000 government vehicles set to be sold soon.

The auction industry is currently experiencing a big push in asset sales. With the onset of Covid 19 pandemic, companies have either been delayed in bringing assets to sale or alternatively are looking at ways of unlocking value in surplus assets prior to the year end.

Go Industry Dove Bid ( www. allsurplus.com) has been gearing up for a manic November with multiple sales and auctions to suit every industry sector and buyer budget.

John Cowing, managing director of Go-Industry DoveBid, said: “This sale medium has now had explosive growth as a result of the pandemic.

“Online auctions are just so much easier for both buyers and sellers. Anybody with a smart device and access to the internet can browse and bid.

“Mining giant Trollope Mining Services are disposing of a Liebherr 980 Excavator and 11 x CAT 773E Rigid Dump Trucks in excellent condition. “Recently we were awarded the tender to dispose of over 1 000 government vehicles by live auction on behalf of the Eastern Cape department of transport.

“We have vast experience within the government vehicle space, due to our multitude of online auctions, held on behalf of the Western Cape department of transport. Our 20th auction of 60 plus vehicles is set to close on 24 November.

“Returning to the live auctions being held for Eastern Cape government, we have already held two very successful auctions in East London and Port Elizabeth with a total of over 300 participants, while ensuring we adhere to Covid-19 health regulations.”

The next auction was set for 19 November in Mthatha, followed by another in Port Elizabeth (26 November) and East London (3 December), with further sales to be held next year.
