Proteas will chase spectators away

With all the brouhaha surrounding Cricket South Africa I hesitate to ask, but is the present Protea team the best SA can muster?

Tuesday’s T20 game was a walk in the park for England, who didn’t even raise a sweat. If this game took place in the US, the CNN headline would have read: “De Kock chews while Proteas wilt.” The game was as exciting as a tortoise’s birthday party. Even Tiddlywinks is more exciting and competitive.

I certainly hope that the forthcoming ODIs will be more entertaining and exciting otherwise the stands, as empty as they are now, will be just as empty if and when the pandemic ban is lifted. John
