The line-up of performers includes Deekay Deedit, Annalyzer, DJ Slesh, DJ Bongz, DJ Lee Smallz, Fiasco Show, DJ Tsomma, DJ Malebza , Greg Soleri and King Sliq.

Founded by The Citizen’s “Dr Dulcy” Rakumakoe, Tshepiso Leeu and Joy Khumalo, Queerwell has provided care to more than 1 200 people in online consultations, seminars and one-on-one telephonic interventions.

Speaking of the fundraiser Dr Dulcy said: “We provide oneon-one therapy sessions, trauma and other forms of counselling, and group therapy and education sessions.

“We are also able to provide these sessions online through the different platforms.”

Queerwell is a nonprofit organisation launched in March.

Its vision and purpose is to provide access to mental healthcare, education and support to the LGBTIAQ+ ( lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual and queer people and folks with other sexual orientations and gender identities) community in South Africa.

The main focus is on townships and rural areas, as there are barriers to access help in these communities

People mainly access the organisation through the website, WhatsApp and Facebook, and donations have assisted with airtime, data and to pay minor stipends to volunteer therapists.
