Stellies want Arendse

► Stellenbosch FC are believed to be among the clubs who may consider roping in former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Wayne Arendse (below), who was released by the club earlier this month. At the age of 36, Arendse and his camp are confident that he can still play for a few more seasons. A source revealed that, while Arendse is clubless, there is no rush to get a team for him as they look for the most suitable deal. “Moving to Cape Town would make a lot of sense for Wayne because the rest of his family is in the Mother City, where he was born,” said a source.
