Rift in Usuthu ranks
► Rumours of divisions in the AmaZulu FC camp have surfaced, with a Phakaaathi source claiming that the older players in the team are unhappy with how the new recruits are held in high regard by the club’s management when they haven’t done anything yet. Usuthu brought in seven big-name players at the start of the season, including Siphiwe Tshabalala, Xola Mlambo and Luvuyo Memela. But while the old and new players look to have formed some understanding on the pitch, Phakaaathi has heard that things are not so cosy behind the scenes.”The old players feel neglected, like they don’t matter anymore. All the management talk or care about are the new players. Even when there are club activations, they use the new players and this has created some tension in the squad,” said a source.
