Race conditions look ideal for Big Hearted at Kranji

- Larry Foley

Slowly but surely the good horses are making their way back to full fitness in preparation for the riches of some imminent Group racing in Singapore and there might not be many better than BIG HEARTED.

The Singapore Gold Cup winner impressed when just missing first up over 1200m a few weeks back and 1400m in the Kranji Stakes B conditions event tomorrow looks ideal to get back into the winners’ circle on his way to the Group 1 Kranji Mile in May.

But while BIG HEARTED looks hard to beat in what is a rare small field of late, the rest of the card looks a tough one for punters with plenty of depth in most races.

Which is always a good sign for those looking for value and eachway players could have a big day.

BORN TO WIN could open the day with a win on his recent solid form with Dan Beasley up and pending how short the likely favourite, IMA, starts in Race 2, THE SHADOW and even ALEXANDER could provide good value as improvers on excellent recent trial form with gear changes for both.

Some Class droppers in ARION PASSION and OPTIMUM STAR in Races 5 and 8 respectively will improve lengths on recent form and may sneak under the punters radar, while SILENT PARTNER had traffic excuses last start and can win Race 10.

Tim Fitzsimmons is having a good start to the 2021 season and staying with the value and Class dropping theme, VALOROUS in the lucky last could be long odds given recent form and could surprise with a positive ride from

Marc Lerner.
