Ciza can take new hit to the bank

- Citizen reporter

After an impressive entry into the music industry with his debut hit single Come Alive, followed by Adje

which took Africa by storm by snatching one million views on YouTube and hitting the Top 5 on national radio charts in South Africa and Nigeria, Nkululeko Nciza, aka Ciza Liza, pictured, is back.

Africa’s golden boy has released his third, already certified, hit single, Bank Notification.

This is a feel-good song that successfully merges the Pan African afrobeats sound with the famous and hot South African original sound of amapiano.

The mesmerising song will get you dancing a few seconds in as Ciza, alongside featured artist DJ Maphorisa, sing about the unbridled joy people get when receiving a bank notification on their phones.

The song has already grabbed top spots on radio stations.

It boasts more than 160 000 streams on Spotify and is charting on Spotify Top 50. It also reached Apple Top 100 and is a hit on Shazam Top 100.

It features on one of Apple Music’s playlists, Africa Rising, and was watched over 400 000 times on YouTube on its first week.

“I am very impressed with the way people have received Bank Notification,”

says Ciza.

“There is a lot of work and effort that went into the song.

“I am grateful to the team that pulled this through. Working on a song during a pandemic is not easy but we did it.”

He adds that the biggest aim of releasing this EP was to offer people an escape from the stress of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I hope this will soothe the pain of hardships experienced during this pandemic.

“I want people to dance, enjoy and feel alive with me one more time,” he says.

Meanwhile, he will be releasing his debut EP, titled Golden Boy Pack, a project inspired by African legendary hits. –
