Anon, smallpox, measles and polio vaccines took years to develop, not months like the current vaccines.

According to Cyril, the ANC candidates for the upcoming election must be “people of integrity” who have the necessary qualifications to serve the people. Well, we can look forward to blank ballot papers as far as ANC candidates go!

Jason Carano, perhaps you have missed the info that no Covid vaccine is 100% effective. This has been said right from the first day of the vaccination drive. All the vaccinated people must still mask up, sanitise, social distance, etc.

The Citizen is a significant and relevant tabloid with editorial independence. It really is news I can use, dear Robin Parry.

If the Soweto citizens (or any region for that matter) are granted a fixed rate for electricity, then the rest of the country’s peoples must be given the same rate! Otherwise, it is discriminatory!!

I and many people will not be voting. Most politicians are liars and corrupt, so they are not worthy of our votes. It’s all a power game for the leaders and the public get caught every time there is an election.

Congrats to Brendan Seery for his column on “Let’s Roll”. Praiseworthy journalism with the punchline cleverly only made at the end.

At last, with the help of the IEC, the ANC have submitted their election candidates. How many whites are on that list? The ANC always maintain that they are nonracist.

Nicky Oelofse

These upcoming municipal elections are going to be a disaster. It would appear from what I have read and seen on the news that this country is a circus – elections are run by clowns and the citizens remain the audience. It is nothing to write home about.
