US grand jury indicts former pilot
New York – A US federal grand jury on Thursday charged a former Boeing chief test pilot with misleading aviation regulators during the certification process for the 737 MAX, which was involved in two fatal crashes.
Boeing has acknowledged its responsibility in misleading regulators and will pay over $2.5 billion (about R36 billion) to settle lawsuits. It has also admitted that two of its employees misled the Federal Aviation Administration. –
