Zim can’t celebrate Workers’ Day as few work

Unemployment rate is about 80%, leaving the majority destitute, writes

- Tapiwa Muskwe.

Iam depressed that Zimbabwe could not celebrate Workers’ Day on 1 May. The unemployment rate is about 80%, leaving the majority destitute. Some parents make their children drop out of school at an early age to sell items on the busiest streets, which puts them at risk of being hit by cars.

Some women and young girls are involved in prostitution to earn a living because of the widespread poverty.

Many men are involved in stealing in the business districts.

Many Zimbabweans are migrating to other countries in the hope of having a better standard of living.

Some of the youth in Zimbabwe are involved in drugs because they have nothing to do.

Some people are qualified but there are no jobs.

This is caused by the corrupt, evil Zanu-PF government.

Powerful countries such as the United Kingdom, US, Canada, Japan and Australia should push President Mnangagwa and his proxies to resign because they have failed Zimbabwe since he gained power.
