Tired of rot in the police system
Asurvey by Action Society reveals that only 2% of South Africans will call the SA Police Service’s 10111 first in case of an emergency. The police are spectators during mass looting, illegal mining, drug trafficking, cable theft, cash-in-transit heists and kidnappings and many more criminals flourish with impunity.
The DNA testing backlog means repeat offenders of murder and rape freely roam the streets.
More police vehicles are in workshops, rather than on patrol. Corruption and infighting are rife.
Police officers are regularly arrested for various crimes. People with criminal records are employed as cops.
Firearms are stolen from police stations or hired out to gangsters. Jail breaks are not uncommon. What purpose does the top-heavy, incompetent Saps actually serve?
And on top of this pile of rot sits the Cat in the Hat himself, Bheki Cele, pictured, lording it while receiving a fat salary and driving around in blue-light convoys. Ja, well.
