SA’s Covid tests cost a fortune

I am making a relatively short trip to Australia in two weeks time.

Australia does not require a negative Covid test for arriving passengers.

For my return trip to SA I do require a negative pre-departure Covid test to comply with our requirements at a little over R1 600.

A family of four wishing to enjoy a SA holiday will have to pay well over R6 000 for these tests.

We are lucky that we live in a wealthy country which doesn’t really need foreign tourists.

Our leaders really display a unique kind of stupidity,
