News flash: load shedding suspended for the ANC conference.

The official opposition party, the DA, needs to outline and print out for all South Africans to read exactly how they plan on governing and changing the way our country has been run. I think this will be of significance for the voters to know before the elections.

So now Zuma is made out to be the scapegoat for the corruption in the ANC. More like monkey see, monkey do. If he could do it and get away with it, so everyone else was entitled to do the same thing.

Surprise! Found Garsfontein post office in Pretoria efficient and organised regarding the issuing of new car licence discs. I was in and out in half an hour. In contrast, the Menlo Park PO has one worker announcing ‘no electricity’ for the past few weeks. With no explanation. Well done, Garsfontein.

Mervyn Bick, long on opinion, short on logic. If Eskom supplied electricity (their mandate) we wouldn’t need personal solar panel installations. I don’t mind paying delivery charges but only if they deliver. You can’t have it both ways.

How can the ANC afford the lavish conferences they are currently having when they cannot afford to pay their staff? And why can’t the run-of-the-mill ANC followers see the ruling party for what it is: a failed organisation, inept, corrupt and hell-bent on enriching themselves at the expense of the country.

These CEOs who rake in millions of rands in bonuses, as well as receiving a fat salary every month, should be ashamed of themselves. They are totally overpaid for what they contribute to the company, while the workers who actually do all the hard work earn peanuts. It’s a disgrace.

Isaac Mashaba, I agree totally with you about the corrupt ANC. But the only way to get rid of them, I think, is to target the rural people to make them understand what they are voting for and keeping them in poverty. Enid

The article by Helen Zille about the decay of the small towns due to the corruption and gross incompetence of the ANC refers: it is mind-boggling how the ANC have destroyed our towns and show no shame. Thank goodness we have dedicated citizens who are trying to save these towns and the country. The ANC must fall.
