Minty will host the flagship show Prime Live from 7pm to 9pm on Monday to Friday with fellow hosts Raheemah Boomberg and Maimoona Mabena.

Minty said: “I am very excited for this opportunity. While television presenting is new for me, I’m ready to take on the challenge.

“Being on the prestigious television platform, I will be engaging with an audience that will include young people – something which is exciting for me.

“I am an advocate for youth development, so I could never turn down this opportunity.”

Added to lifestyle and current affairs shows, INX Prime, which has been seen by broadcasting experts as a game changer, will also feature movies and series from across the world, ensuring a wide selection of content, with something which will appeal to all its viewers.

According INX Prime’s managing director Farhad Omar, news and lifestyle shows are to be filmed and screened from the broadcaster’s Houghton, Johannesburg headquarters.

“We will provide original programming that recognises the multiple needs of Muslims on the continent.

“For many years, we understood that we needed to make a positive contribution to the news and information available to Muslims on the continent. “The birth of INX Prime, will help us achieve that goal,” said Omar.
