Dreamer to deliver at Windsor

LAST WIN A LOT EASIER THAN THE NECK DISTANCE MAY SUGGEST

-

Roll It In Glitter weighted to win at Ayr.

Robert Cowell's Dark Dreamer only won by a neck last time out but that did not quite tell the whole story and he can add to that success at Windsor today.

The handicapper thought he won a bit cosily too, as he has been raised 2.5kg, but he is up to defying that.

He was making his handicap debut having been gelded and was well supported, so a big run was expected, and he looks a likely improver.

Dark Dreamer is back out in the Jules Gozo Holidays Leading Villa Specialists Handicap and can keep progressing.

Clive Cox's Nemov ran a huge race on debut at Kempton back in January when second to Andrew Balding's Fire Demon, beaten 0.50 lengths.

The winner has won twice since and is now rated 93, so a race like the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes should be a formality unless there is something special lurking.

Mick and David Easterby's Roll It In Glitter has gone well fresh in the past and his last run in 2023 could not have worked out much better.

While he only beat Ayr Poet by a nose in July, the Jim Goldie-trained runner-up was rated 57 at the time. Ayr Poet went on to win three of his next five outings during a busy summer, ending the season rated 68.

Roll It In Glitter only went up 2kg, the yard is having the odd winner and with his penchant for going well fresh, winning once off a 172-day break and once off an absence of 62 days, he has to be the one in the Virgin Bet Every Saturday Money Back Handicap at Ayr.

Old Cock ran a very promising race on his debut at Newcastle recently when fourth of 13 and he is taken to open his account at the second attempt in the Virgin Bet Best Odds Daily Restricted Maiden Stakes.

Ed Bethell's charge was unraced at two but was travelling ever so sweetly with nowhere to run 400m out. While he made ground up in the final 200m, the promising winner Gunlock had flown and it was too little too late. He can make amends.

Cloud King is another for Cowell with the promise of more to come at Southwell. He made a mockery of his opening handicap mark of 61, winning by 3.50 lengths but it could have been three times that.

The handicapper is no fool and put him up 5kg, but there is still a chance he will take all the beating when he returns to Southwell for the Bet £10 Get £10 At Yeeehaaa.Bet Handicap.

George Boughey's Addictive found one too good on his recent debut at Chelmsford but can go one better in the British EBF Novice Stakes.

Surrey Belle signed off last season with a win and can begin the new one with success in the Download The Racecourse App Raceday-Ready Handicap at Wolverhampton.

Unraced at two, there is plenty of stamina in her pedigree, so as she matures, she can continue to improve.
