I’d love to know how those criticising the DA flag-burn advertisement would depict a country with over 80 murders and 150 rapes per day, rampant corruption and the July 2021 looting spree?

I haven’t seen the video on the burning flag, but I’ve seen President Cyril Ramaphosa complaining about it. But I’ve not seen, nor heard him complaining about how him and his ANC buddies have ruined SA.

There is nothing wrong with the DA’s flag-burning advert. Many complain without even having seen it. The flag is resurrected at the end. It’s satire, no different from many of Zapiro’s cartoons. Stop complaining. It’s satire. Nicky Oelofse
Carol Gaynham, tops for your letter on people voting with their brains. I believe you are correct about votes for the smaller parties being votes for the ANC. People need to be strategic. Let’s just hope we don’t end up with an ANC-MK-EFF alliance. If we do, what happened in Zimbabwe will be happening here in no time. Andrew
We desperately need a new government. First task is to investigate present incumbents for fraud and corruption and prosecute them. This is not a new concept. Has been done in several American countries and elsewhere. It is called accountability. We cannot pay them to steal from us.

When I read the article from Carol Paton regarding the promises made by President Cyril Ramaphosa when he came into power, I am not surprised or shocked by what he is allowing his corrupt and incompetent ministers to get up to. This man has proven to be a complete disappointment.
