Park Village Auctions (PVA) has announced four property auctions “duly instructed by the Curator Bonis”, which will commence state proceedings to auction assets formerly belonging to convicted fraudster Hildegard Steenkamp’s estate.

Steenkamp gained notoriety when the Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court in December 2023 found her guilty of stealing over R530 million and was sentenced to 50 years. On the 8 February, the National Prosecuting Authority confirmed the state would auction assets from Steenkamp’s estate, as reported by IOL.

PVA’s advertisement states that the instruction to auction is linked to “NDPP vs Hildegard Antoinette Steenkamp & Others Case No: 2017/47936”.

The auction run features four Boksburg residential properties, each with assorted furniture.

Proceedings start on Tuesday, 14 May at 11am with the sale of number 21 Killian Avenue, Cinderella (web reference 1475). The double-storey, three-bedroom, three-bathroom house with a double garage and a two-bedroom flatlet measures 993m2.

PVA will then auction 23 Killian Avenue, Cinderella (web reference 1499). Here, the three-bedroom with a swimming pool and outbuildings previously used as offices are set on 997m2 of land.

Proceedings move to Number 9 Cilliers Street, Cinderella (web reference 1500). The property measures 1 035m2. It includes a double-storey, three-bedroom home with a free-standing one-bedroom flatlet, a double-storey outbuilding comprising two en-suite guest bedrooms, and a double tandem garage with parking for at least five vehicles.

The final property is number 7, Yellowwood Estate, 35 Smuts Avenue, Libradene (web reference 1503). The 916m2 residential stand boasts a luxury, interior-designed double-storey home with three en-suite bedrooms, ample indoor and outdoor entertaining space, two tandem garages, and staff accommodation.
