IT MAY be the best place for dads to be this Father’s Day, but there is something for everyone at the third edition of the Petrol Head Paradise Moto Show which is revving engines and hearts at the Moffett on Main Lifestyle Centre in Port Elizabeth.

The show kicked off yesterday with a steady flow of visitors, and more than 12 000 are expected by its end on Monday.

A go-kart track in the underground parking lot where the show is being held will remain in the centre as a permanent feature.

Competitions, live music, remotecontrol model car displays, kiddies rides, stalls, food and drinks venues, and games such as foosball are just some activities lined up for those not as moved by the impressive array of vehicles on exhibition during the show.

“We have got so much on offer here. For the ladies, there is even a Pimp Your Wife competition, which is a play on the activity of men pimping their rides or cars. The winner will get a comprehensive makeover and wardrobe,” said event organiser Janet Pereira.

For the men, the show offers a smorgasbord of metal and machines, from the Millionaires Boys' Club experience which showcases super cars from Jaguars to Porsches to displays of classic muscle cars and vintage models.

An off-site 4x4 and a stock car racing experience affiliated to the show, and a Show and Shine event tomorrow, will also be part of the experience.
