The Herald (South Africa)

Capture all your happy moments and send them in

-

TODAY The Herald launches phase two of #InspirePE with #HappyPE and, because a picture is worth a thousand words, we are asking you to send in photographs that make YOU happy.

Last week The Herald asked you to share inspiring news in this region and the story ideas have been flooding in. You’ve read about the varsity students raising money for their sick friend, how rugby hunks helped a women’s shelter move house and more. Today you can read about St Stephen’s Church in New Brighton which has responded to the crisis in education by adopting a nearby high school on Page 6.

But there is more than one way to spread the good news and “every picture tells a story”, so if you don’t have the time to write in, then grab your cellphone or camera and capture the moment that makes you happy.

It doesn’t have to be major, like winning the lottery, but it does have to be in PICTURE form. So, it might be a swim at our stunning beaches, a soft-serve on a hot summer day, sharing a chocolate with your “bestie”, getting home earlier than expected from work, picking your own tomatoes, seeing your child’s first school painting, or perhaps how their new “big school” uniform almost drowns them – these are the little moments that fly past so fast but which can make day-to-day life such fun.

We’d love to share these visual moments with our readers and build up that Friendly City spirit.

Here is how to do it: post the pic on Facebook or Twitter with #HappyPE and a brief note on what it is and why it makes you happy today, and we will take it from there.

You also can e-mail your #HappyPE photographs to: zest@timesmedia.co.za.

Our online team will post them on The Herald and La Femme Facebook pages, and build up a gallery at The Herald website, www.peherald.com each month.

So ... what are you waiting for? Get out there and be snap-happy!
