From our ‘humble’ president to revellers, cyclists, educators causing chaos

-

NMMM – Is public drinking and intoxication no longer a crime in this country? One just has to visit the Westering Swimming Pool area over a weekend. It is a gathering place for people to park and drink every weekend. Following that you will find empty alcohol bottles, used condoms, torn undergarments, tissue/toilet paper etc. Attempts to get a police vehicle from Kabega Park Police Station out there has to date, never happened! Every month we pay more than R2000 in rates and taxes and yet we cannot get a decent clean-up from the municipality or a drive-by from our police services! What a disgrace! CAL LIGHTMAN SOUTH Africa’s most humble and compassionate president Jacob Zuma is shown no respect from the leader of the EFF party, Julius Malema. Julius must remember that elders need to be respected at all times. He must know that the reason for him being ousted as youth leader of the ANC is because of all his rudeness. Our president has the right to choose wise people who he can trust to do the job. Why is it so many people in this country hate this humble man who is trying to please everybody. ZOOPLA I WISH the cycle community would spend their money on building a cycle track instead of using main roads for their sport. You obviously have a lot of money and can cycle on your fancy bikes, blocking main roads, while the rest of us have to go to work to earn a living. Get off our roads! HARD WORKER EDUCATION is certainly going down the tubes. But there is hope if all the educators could be as dedicated and willing to run, yes run, the extra mile like those at Cape Recife High School. Principal Mr Hugo and his staff are shining beacons in this chaos. PROUD PARENT ANIMAL LOVER. I have to disagree with you. I was one of the volunteers collecting for Animal Anti Cruelty and was staggered at the public’s generosity. In 100 minutes they put nearly R500 in my tin (which l NEVER “jiggle!”). Thank you all for your kindness and support. I’ll be there again next year with a smile and a “good morning” in the hope you will continue to off-load your loose change to R50 notes! Bless you. JG CHIPPA United will not survive for too long. It will disappear the same way other PSL teams suffered in the Eastern Cape. Fans here know only Chiefs and Pirates. STERA 33 RHINO from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife for Auction: wonder what really happens to these animals once in greedy hands!! SARAH MUNICIPALITY – your refuse collectors, for the second time now, threw a large stone at my golden retrievers (Parsons Hill). Do they not get briefed on conduct? UPSET SOMEBODY needs to tell PE College salutes are rendered with the right hand. The only exceptions for saluting with the left are if your right arm is immobile due to injury or has been amputated. They got it wrong with their ad on page 5 WP of August 9. M NEGRES
