ARMY BASE CHIEF CLOSES GOLF COURSE

SHARK River Golf Club closure: is this not the same Vusumzi Ngcobo who allegedly hid two of his drunken soldiers at the shooting range to avoid them being arrested? Now as acting commanding officer he decides to shut down the golf course because he deems it a safety risk. Why not shut down cricket and soccer as those balls can also break the windows of vehicles? We all know why the closure of the football field will never happen but then again I am no racist. My sympathy to all Shark River Golf Club members.

ACSA at PE Airport must sort out its malfunctioning parking pay stations that are more out of order than working. Not only are the machines breaking down but no staff are available to assist, resulting in long queues. This was the case last Friday evening at 8pm. Get your act together!

BURGLARS in Westering: a special thanks to police officers Manie and a colleague from the Kabega Park police station, for apprehending one out of the four criminals in the early hours of Sunday morning. They acted promptly and most efficiently with perseverance and zeal. They are indeed a credit to the service. They restored faith in the system.
