New Derby sponsor

FAIRVIEW Racecourse’s East Cape Derby will welcome a new sponsor in that of SW Security Solutions SA.

The new sponsors will officially take over on Sunday, 10 May 2015.

The new sponsorship will also mark the 54th running of the Grade 3 East Cape Derby.

In previous years the race was run at the Arlington Racecourse.

SW Security Solutions SA has come on board and Roy Freedman, Chief Operating and Financial Officer expressed his delight in this collaboration.

“SW Security Solutions SA takes great pleasure in welcoming the racing public, trainers, owners, jockeys, grooms, handlers and equine athletes to the 2015 running of the SW Security Solutions SA East Cape Derby (Grade 3).

“We are pleased to sponsor this prestigious race and look forward to the SW Security Solutions East Cape Derby becoming a feature on the racing and social calendar of Port Elizabeth.”

Phumelela Gaming’s Sales Executive, Clyde Basel thanked SW Security Solutions SA for making the choice to invest in the day’s racing.

“Sponsors are greatly appreciated and we endeavour to assist our sponsors in realising their objectives throughout the campaign”, he said.

The day’s top class racing will be complimented by the PE Prawn Festival which falls on Mother’s Day.

Judging by the success of that event last year it is sure to be another cracking day out for families looking to take in a jam-packed schedule of entertainment.

Gates will open at 11am, entry onto the course is free and prawn vouchers can be purchased through Computicket.
