Mango bookings for R1 flight within SA

TRAVELLERS can now buy an air ticket for just one rand‚ and the special offer will be on sale until May 31.

The trip, on low-cost airline Mango, must be taken before the end of June.

The only problem is that Mango does not say how many tickets it is making available for purchase at the special price – for flights only within South Africa.

Mango this week launched a third app, this time for all devices on Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system.

If you want to try to buy a ticket‚ the R1 fare is being offered to passengers who download Mango airline’s new app, available for download in all cellphone app stores.

To date, Mango’s apps on other platforms totalled more than half a million downloads‚ the airline said.

Mango was the first African airline to offer a mobi-site and apps allowing bookings, payment and flight management on the go and it pioneered retail of flights through supermarkets.
