Your Stars

- with Jonathon Cainer

ARIES March 21 — April 21 Whose idea was it to set the Earth spinning at just over one thousand miles per hour? Did their calculations include a risk assessment? How were they to know that we would happily adjust to the force of gravity that this would create and the subsequent interval between day and night? Or were they just guessing? Either this was very irresponsible of them or they had perfect prescience. Work, this weekend, on the assumption that the Creator of the universe is powerful and benignly disposed towards you. You won't be wrong.

TAURUS April 21 — May 21 Where is your nearest supermarket? Or school? Or park? Are you sure? How do you know that it is still where it was? Perhaps it has moved, silently, in the interim. Does that sound ridiculous? Maybe so, but we take a lot on trust. From an early age, we must all learn to accept that things exist, even if we can't see them. We are almost always right to do this. So, here is a question: when was the last time that you saw evidence of a compassionate universe? Why would it treat you any less kindly this weekend?

GEMINI May 21 — June 22 Where does the past go when it has finished being the present? Apparently, it gets stored somewhere. But there is something odd about the archiving device and the method of retrieval is even more strange. It seems to work differently for each person on the planet. There may be fixed points in common between all our memories but there are some crucial details that only you know. If you choose, this weekend, you are free to adjust the meaning of those recollections. This may yet bring you great gain.

CANCER June 22 — July 23 Intuition is powerful. Even if we don't heed our own inner-radar as often as we should, we still benefit enormously from our natural ability to recognise a small voice of wisdom and insight, whispering to our minds from our heart of hearts. Only one thing in this world has the ability to counteract this process of psychic sensitivity. If we feel fearful, we simply can no longer distinguish between a genuine precognitive twinkle and an untamed worry. Don't mistake the latter for the former this weekend.

LEO July 23 — Aug 24 Not dealing every with developmentthe aftermath this of weekenda disappointmentwill be splendid.and it may You take are some while before the universe successfully rearranges itself in order to provide you with compensation. As soon as it can, it will help you to see how to make a bad thing good and to profit from an apparent loss. If you wish to hasten this process, try not to allow yourself to feel as if you are being somehow singled out for poor treatment by an unfair universe. Just trust that the sky is on your side.

VIRGO Aug 24 — Sept 23 Many are born blessed with the gift of mimicry. We can impersonate one another's accents and mannerisms. Some are so adept at this art that they become professional entertainers. But just because one person can resemble another, we cannot assume that they have taken on their total identity. Lately, in your life, there has been a misunderstanding arising from misleading information. There is one thing that you are not inclined to believe any more. But that doesn't render everything else untrue this weekend.

LIBRA Sept 23 — Oct 23 No child was ever born into this world destined to lead an unhappy life. And as every adult began as a child, and we are all still leading the same life, it surely follows that none of us are destined, fated or obliged to be unhappy now. There may be issues that are unnerving you and many apparent reasons to worry this weekend. But you really need to see how trivial and temporary these actually are. Focus on what is most hopeful, inspiring and inviting, and you will soon see what is the right thing to be looking at.

SCORPIO Oct 22 — Nov 23 I make no apology for commencing your forecast with a question that I often ask on your behalf. 'Why do bad things happen to good people?' Is it because those people aren't quite as good as they think they are? Might it be because those things aren't always as bad as they seem? Or must we swallow a bitter pill and accept that the universe is fundamentally unjust and unfair? You have lately begun to lose all faith in natural justice. Events this weekend, should yet do much to restore your trust in the existence of a kinder power.

SAGITTARIUS Nov 23 — Dec 23 Just over a week ago, I was writing forecasts in which we had you clinging to the tops of moving trains or scaling tall buildings by your finger nails. Just look at how more relaxed life is now starting to become. No spectacular acts of heroism will be required this weekend. You need perform no miracles and solve no impossible conundrums. Indeed, the clear cosmic indication of a supportive celestial outlook, is an imminent, enhanced ability to truly enjoy life. Make the most of what is potentially the most magical.

CAPRICORNDec 22 — Jan 21 'The harder they come, the harder they fall.' So sang the reggae legend Jimmy Cliff. Many moons later his words remain as true. We should never allow ourselves to feel daunted just because we face a mighty opponent. Nor should we permit a sense of intimidation to well up within us when we recognise how powerful a person or an institution appears to be. Everything and everyone has a weak spot somewhere. This weekend, you will see what you need to see in order to do what you need to do.

AQUARIUS Jan 21 — Feb 20 We can all at times be a little too quick to declare that a problem is 'impossible to solve'. We may do our best to view the situation objectively. We may even canvass advice and opinion from friends and strangers alike in an attempt to corroborate the unfortunate conclusion that we have become obliged to reach. If their input tallies with our understanding, what else can we do but change direction? Yet circumstances change and situations evolve. Look again, this weekend, at what you have all but given up on.

PISCES Feb 20 — March 21 What stops you from resting and relaxing this weekend? Is someone else putting you under pressure? Or are you punishing yourself with anxious thoughts? Are you looking at deadlines which have been set in some casual, off-hand manner and treating them as if they were set in stone? Are you applying other unreasonable restrictions to your view of what's possible and then starting to panic as you rush around gathering resources. Be more merciful on yourself and you will soon see all is easier than you think.
