Rock ‘n’ rolling in the aisles

Fairly mad comic duo present Priory show

-

THE Rock n Roll Comedy Madhouse with celebrity impersonator and comedian Danny Fisher and the Bay’s own Gino Fabbri rolls into town on the eve of the Priory Fair on Friday.

Music and crazy characters combine in a special pre-fair marquee to be erected at the school in Miramar.

The combination of these two rubber-faced comedy chameleons will make for a special evening of entertainment, as Fisher, aka The Voice, performs offbeat impressions of famous stars from Ozzy Osbourne and Mick Jagger to Rod Stewart, Meatloaf, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley.

Fisher is well known to Eastern Cape audiences as a drawcard on the early Sun International circuit. He later joined The Blarney Brothers with whom he toured South Africa.

He fronted the Centrestage All-Star Band for the Elvis and Vegas hit extravaganza shows, both presented at the Guild Theatre in East London.

This is only the second time that Fabbri and Fisher will have appeared together comedically. Their first outing last year culminated in two sold-out evenings at the Guild.

Fabbri will present a mix of old favourites and some new segments in an evening of music, mishap and mayhem.

The playful assortment of songs, sketches, special guest artists and naughty fun is produced under the ambit of Rancid Punjabi’s Professional Shows and Betting Agency, an entity not known for staging productions that run without a hitch!

Priory parent Fabbri weighs in as a show businessman and racketeer struggling to recover from unexpected disaster.

Seating is around six- and 12-seater tables, with a bar and meals available on the night.

The show starts at 7.30pm at Priory, with tickets at R140 each (R130 for six or more and R120 each for 12 or more) available through Computicket and from Wendy on 082-661-6921.
